About Kris Rao

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, with a Master of Science in Medicine (Psychotherapy) from Sydney Medical School. My core approach is based on the Conversational Model of Psychotherapy but am influenced by contemporary/intersubjective psychoanalysis. 

In addition to general mental health and addiction issues, I specialise in complex traumatic disorders in adults and adolescents.

I also supervise clinicians and teach as adjunct faculty at universities and higher education institutions across Australia and New Zealand.

I am a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP).
